Rankin

Rankin is another Fashion Photographer which I came across, his work is very powerful and captures the character and spirit of his subjects.

Looking at his work I like how the shadows are shown in the background, particularly on the ones which have a plain, simple white background, as the focus is just on the subject. I think this idea could work for one of our images, especially because we have chosen the studio as the location. We could just use one model 'Susan' with a plain white background, keeping the shadow of susan behind. The shadow could then represent 'Roberta' and the idea of Walking in someones shadow, in the films case Susans shadow and the idea of Roberta wanting to be her and live her life.
