East London street inspiration: photofile
By Katy Rutherford, WGSN, 28 October 2011
East London is home to some of the world's most progressive street art set against a heavily worn historical-industrial backdrop. Here, we show a selection from the areas of Shoreditch, Brick Lane and Columbia Road.
I chose this photography because of the brick work and the signage.
I love this image, because its tightly cropped and straight to the point. It would be good for texture to project.
For somer eason this image reminded me of the film. It appears run down like the buildings near the magic club. I think the bright pink would work well. It attracts the viewers attention. Its been well framed with the doors. The bricks and paving make it appear realistic. This would also look good with a coloured gel over the lighting.
I love how close up this image is. It would appear that the model is stood right infront of the door. It could create a sense of mystery on who is behind the door. This would reflect facial expressions well.
We could project this as if it is one of the bars from the film. I love this location, it appears 3D.
